Summer Sprouts

Strawberry Taste Test

Sadly, Summer Sprouts is now officially over. We ended the three week gardening and youth leadership program with a garden celebration for the family and friends of our program participants. The students showcased what they learned over the last weeks through skits, posters, snacks and games concerning topics like eating healthy, food access and soil health. This year brought many changes to our programming including a wild edibles urban hike, mountain biking in Marin with Trips for Kids, and learning from the chefs at NOPA. We are sending many of our youth leaders off to college, wishing them good fortune and hoping to hear from them again in the coming summers.
