Established in 2004 in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco, the Farm is Urban Sprouts’ flagship site where our educational model was developed and continues to thrive. The Farm is the hub for our paid internship and job readiness programs, which enable young people in San Francisco to receive garden-based education, gain healthy cooking skills, build community, and learn the job and life skills they need to succeed.

This diverse 1-acre urban farm has an orchard, flower field, honey bees, chickens, a duck, native plants and pollinator gardens, medicinal and culinary herb gardens, a greenhouse, an off the grid solar kitchen and our most robust food production operations.
